Firewalls and Routers
Here you will find help with configuring your router. It is meant only as a point of reference for troubleshooting connection issues.

Novalogic telephone technical support will not answer any questions regarding firewall or router configuration. Contact the developer of the firewall or router software for complete and up-to-date assistance with their product.

NOTE: This information relates to the Linksys BEFSR81 V3. There are various models whose configuration may look different. Consult the manual for documentation of your model, or contact the manufacturer.
 
Before you start configuring your router you will need to know what your computer's IP address is. You can do so by running the ipconfig command from a MS-DOS command prompt.
 
 
  1. Click the Start button on the desktop.
  2. Click on Run and in the dialog box type cmd and click OK.
  3. Type ipconfig in the MS-DOS prompt window and press enter. Take down the IP address that is shown. You will need this number to configure your router settings.


  1. Now open your Internet browser and login to your router. In the web address bar type in 192.168.1.1 and hit enter. You will be prompted to login to the router. Leave the User Name blank and type admin as the Password.


  1. Once you have logged into your router, click on Applications & Gaming.


  1. Within the Application box type the name of the game. Type in the rest of the information as shown in the image. For the IP Address column type in the IP address that was retrieved from step 3. Repeat this step for any additional ports and click Save Settings.
