How can I run Joint Operations on a dedicated server? / The video test fails on my server.

Answer:
There is no command line/headless server for Joint Operations. The game can be hosted on a server with very minimal 3d support. Currently you can host up to 4 servers per NovaWorld account (subject to change). You can start the game with the /w switch to make it go into windowed mode and with it you can use /serveonly switch which will bypass the video requirements this can be done by editing the short cut and adding the /w /serveonly after the last quote of "C:\Program Files\NovaLogic\Joint Operations Typhoon Rising\JOINTOPS.EXE" in the target field. EX: "C:\Program Files\NovaLogic\Joint Operations Typhoon Rising\JOINTOPS.EXE" /w /serveonly The server still requires a Direct 3D compatible video card and DirectX9 installed but any 3d support will suffice. Once it is running you can use the rat to connect to it and control the server, the readme in the game folder and addition information in the Knowledge base covers how setup the rat. It is recommended you setup a separate folder for each game you host.
